The Seelie King: The Kings, Book Five
Format: PDF / Kindle (mobi) / ePub
Tuath Stories remembered the fates of the Wishers well.
Thousands of years ago, the sovereigns of the Fae lands issued a decree: The Wishers would die. Powerful magics were called forth, and in an act never before or since accomplished, both light and dark, both Seelie and Unseelie gathered together in their courts and combined their powers. The Wishers were annihilated.
However... legends told how the strongest and most fortunate few managed to escape and hide themselves amongst humans in the mortal realm.
But thousands of years passed with no sign of these legendary Wishers.
They were declared extinct.
And in its rareness, in its extinctness, the lost, most powerful class of the fae, in fact became sacred.
There are a lot of things Selene Trystaine would change about the world if she could. Injustices press in, apathy reigns, and unkindness seems to have taken hold in the crevices of humanity. So when she learns that she is not who she has always believed herself to be and destiny presents her with her birthright, she must battle with her inner demons, even while the handsome and powerful king of those who’d once attempted to destroy her kind discovers her – and begins an all-out attack of seduction on her senses.
No one knows Avery’s true name. He’s the king of the Seelie Fae, a powerful and ancient man who has ruled a beautiful and dangerous world in solitude for longer than human history has been recorded. And he has no reason to believe this solitude will ever change…. Until the other sovereigns of the thirteen kingdoms begin finding their queens one after another. And suddenly, on a hot Spring day, Selene Trystaine appears beside the river Thames like a mirage made real.
A fiery soul, a gift of untold magic, and a Changeling without a clue as to who she is are about to turn the supernatural world upside down. But as a new and terrible war is sparked between good and evil, and the losses become insurmountable, Selene and Avery are going to learn that no matter who or what you are… you must be careful what you wish for.

point of origin was; there wasn’t time to investigate it. Those shards were going to take out everything in their path, making mortals weak or sick, and killing anything from the fae realms out-right. He needed to do something. Think! He needed to draw the spell away from her. I must protect the queen. The woman still stood at the water’s edge, her thoughts turned inward. The animals around her must have sensed the fae in her. She probably didn’t even realize this wasn’t how animals normally
for a moment more, then it raised up, stretched, and turned around to begin meandering further along the path. Selene watched it go several yards before she glanced one last time over her shoulder, still saw no other sign of life, and decided at last to just follow the cat. What else was she going to do? The cat moved slowly at first, and looked back once as if to make certain she was following. Then the animal’s pacing increased, picking up speed until Selene found herself half-jogging to keep
her face for the last hour. So far, they had visited the homes of ten people who were watering lawns in the middle of a drought. Those people now had no running water at all whatsoever and would not for the next week – thanks to Selene’s wishes. As far as she was concerned, she was going easy on them. She’d even checked to make sure they were families without children. And then she’d moved on to her next unwitting victims. A group of idiots slicing Redwood trees to ribbons in order to get
it, Avery threw up the protective barrier that would allow his next word to be heard by her, and her alone. He gave it voice. It rolled over his tongue and through his teeth like the powerful, precious, incredibly rare treasure that it was – and the fire in the hearth exploded in sparks of rainbow light. The curtains billowed like mad, and the ground shook, rocking the bed beneath them. It was a feeling he would never experience again, an orgasm of the soul, even as his physical body rode the
arcane word, and a mighty and wicked looking sword appeared in his grip. The next thing he did was open a portal himself, one which spanned the center of the great room and gobbled up the coffee table. He glanced once in their direction – and then stepped through. Selene and Avery followed suit, remaining side by side as the portal carried them forward, closed behind them, and opened again in front of them. They stepped through the other side. The blast of heat hit Selene at once, forcing her
